Formuler Box IPTV Setup with MyTVOnline

Formuler boxes are Android-based devices designed specifically for IPTV. They come with MyTVOnline, a dedicated IPTV app that supports several connection types and gives a set-top box experience with a proper remote.

Connection types in MyTVOnline

Adding your service

1. Connect the box to your TV and network, ideally with Ethernet, and complete the initial setup.
2. Open MyTVOnline from the home screen.
3. Choose "Add portal" or "Add connection".
4. Select the connection type your provider supports.
5. Enter the details: a nickname, then the portal URL, Xtream details or M3U link.
6. Select Connect and wait for channels and the guide to load.

For portal connections, find your box's MAC address in MyTVOnline or the box's network settings and send it to your provider before connecting.

Settings worth adjusting

• EPG settings: set the guide to update automatically and correct any time offset.
• Channel list: hide groups you do not watch and create favourites.
• Video settings: enable auto frame rate if your TV handles it well.
• Parental control: set a PIN and lock categories.
• Start-up: set MyTVOnline to launch when the box turns on.

Everyday features

MyTVOnline includes catch-up on supported channels, an info bar showing now and next, and quick channel switching with the number keys. On models with storage or USB support, recording may be available depending on your service. Because the app is designed for the remote, navigation feels much like a traditional set-top box.

Troubleshooting

• "Portal not found" or authentication error. Check the portal URL and confirm your MAC address is registered.
• Channels load but will not play. Check your plan is active and no other device is using your connection limit.
• Guide missing. Update the EPG in settings and allow a few minutes.
• Box feels slow. Restart it, clear the MyTVOnline cache and check for software updates.
